Classic  Pan-Fried  Salmon Patties


canned salmon, egg, old bay, saltines, and lemon

Place the canned salmon in a medium-size bowl. Remove the skin and large bones. I used red salmon however pink is also very tasty.

Crumble the carckers and place in a ziploc bag,  Use a rolling pin the crush into fine crumbs.

Use a fork to break up the salmon into small pices.  Add the egg, old bay seasoning and bread crumbs and mix well.

evenly divide the salmon mixture and roll into 4 or 5 balls. Flatten into a disc shape when ready to fry.

Heat oil over a medium-high heat in heavy skillet . Pan fry the salmon patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side.

Add some mashed potatoes and grab a fork for a classic southern pan-fried salmon patties.
