Almost Homemade Cherry Turnovers


Ingredients you need

1 sheet frozen puff pastry ¼ cup cherry preserves 1 teaspoon sugar

Unfold the the thawed puff pastry sheet onto a lightly floured pastry board or parchment  paper. Use a rolling pin to roll out to about an 8 x 12 rectangle.

While the pastry is thawing preheat the oven to 350°F


Use a pastry cutter to cut into 12 evenly sized  rectangle strips strips

Place about 1 teaspoons of cherry preserves in the middle of each rectangle and fold over. Crimp the edges to seal.

Transfer to a parchment lined baking sheet and bake at 350° F for about 15 minutes or golden brown.

let cool for a few minutes and sprinkle with sugar


These can be made bite size minis or larger.
