Egg in A Hole Bagel Sandwich
Ingredients
- 1 bagel
- 1 egg
- 1 slice cheddar cheese
- 1 slice prosciutto
- 1 slice salami
- 1 tablespoon salted butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic minced
- 1 pinch dried oregano
- ⅛ teaspoon chili paprika
- 1 sprig fresh parsley
- 1 pinch salt to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F. Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a blender, combine the garlic, parsley, butter, oregano, chili paprika, and a pinch of salt.
- Blend until you achieve a smooth, creamy mixture.
- Spread the garlic butter evenly over the bagel top Layer the bagel with a slice of cheddar cheese, followed by a slice of Italian salami, and then a slice of prosciutto.
- Carefully make a small depression in the center of the prosciutto on the bagel to hold the egg. Crack an egg into the hole, allowing the egg white to spread slightly. Don't worry if some of the egg white spills over.
- Sprinkle the bagel with a bit of chili paprika and salt. Place the bagel on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 13-16 minutes, or until the eggs are set, and the prosciutto is crispy and golden brown.
- Once baked, remove the bagel from the oven and let cool for 2-4 minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
